Integrator for HRIS and payroll
One employee key, not five paper files
We link Lucca, Silae or PayFit to planning, payroll and access rights. Variables no longer leave by email the night before the payslip.
- HRIS and payroll connectors in production
- single employee identity
- firm access managed
What is an HRIS integrator and what can be connected to payroll?
An HRIS integrator links your HR or payroll software to the rest of the system: planning, expenses, time clocks, accounting, directory. Lucca holds the employee file, absences and expenses. Silae calculates payroll, payslips and the DSN. PayFit covers a lighter online payroll. You have the connector built when payroll variables still leave by email, when approved leave does not free the schedule, or when a hire must create the account in five tools without five paper files.
What still breaks payroll
The HRIS holds the day to day. Payroll computes. Until both share the same employee identity, the spreadsheet stays in the middle.
Payroll variables still leave by email
Absences, bonuses, hours arrive structured in the payroll software. The payroll admin stops rebuilding a spreadsheet the night before the payslip.
Approved leave changes nothing in the schedule
The absence event updates planning, assignment or clocking. The field sees the same thing HR does.
We create the employee in five tools
The HR hire creates the account, rights and directory. The exit closes them. The lifecycle is no longer a forgotten checklist.
Silae API access blocks the project for weeks
We drive the opening with your payroll firm: file, scope, test data. The connector does not start before access is real.
What each HRIS or payroll product actually involves

Lucca
Most requestedThe most requested HRIS in this category, and the one whose “Lucca integrator” cluster is the strongest. Leave, time, expenses and the employee directory go through API and webhooks. The quota is tight: the architecture is designed around events, not a nightly sweep. That is settled at scoping, before the quote.
- Absences and expenses in the business
- Webhooks rather than a night scan
- Single employee directory

PayFit
Online payrollA lighter online payroll, useful for teams that do not have a Silae firm. No detailed technical sheet here: the integration is judged on the employees to sync, the absences to push and the entries expected in accounting, not on invented routes.
- Employees and absences
- Payroll wired into the business
- Scope settled at scoping

Silae
Payroll softwareThe payroll software of accountancy firms, with API access that does not open on its own. Payroll variables, payslips, DSN, accounting entries: the connector is useful, but the project often slips on the access file with the firm. We drive that. Asynchronous calls and the token are handled in the connector, not in a throwaway script.
- Payroll variables collected
- DSN and payslips in the flow
- Access opening driven
Four chains HR and the firm see running
Approved leave, the floor informed
Leave frees the assignment, the slot or the badge. The manager no longer learns about it on the day.
Structured variables before the payslip
Hours, bonuses, absences arrive in the payroll software. The eve-of-run collection disappears.
Joiners and leavers that close rights
The HR file creates or revokes business accounts. Offboarding is no longer a forgotten checklist.
Payroll journals into the books
Entries feed Sage or Pennylane, balance-checked. The social declaration stays on the payroll side.
HR, firm, IT: who carries which risk
We do not “plug Lucca in”. We negotiate API access with the firm and freeze the identity key.
HR stops being the interface
Their time goes back to people. Copying between tools leaves the job.
Payroll receives clean variables
Fewer payslips redone. We accept on a real period, not on a toy dataset.
IT revokes access on the leaving day
Contract end closes accounts. It is no longer one more security miss.
The firm is no longer an access bottleneck
On Silae especially, we run the opening file. Code no longer waits on a lost email.
Several HRIS aggregated into Silae, in production
The method an HR / payroll flow forces
Employee identity
One identity key, set with HR, before any mapping.
Deliverable: identity ruleFirm access
Access file, scope, fixtures, especially with the Silae firm.
Deliverable: confirmed API accessPayroll calendar
Frozen period, idempotency, no overnight scan of the whole headcount.
Deliverable: period contractRights revocation
Offboarding tested end to end, alerts before the payslip run.
Deliverable: joiner / leaver scenarioWhat nobody tells you before you sign
API access is negotiated with the firm
On Silae especially, the project does not move until the access file is open. We drive it, but the delay is not only technical.
Employee identity is a key, not a name
Internal staff number, vendor identifier, email: without a stable key, each sync creates a duplicate. It is set at scoping, with HR.
Quotas forbid the nightly scan
An HRIS such as Lucca is designed around events. A full sweep of headcount on every run breaks, or gets cut off.
Payroll is not replayed lightly
A connector that pushes a bonus twice creates a dispute. Idempotency and a frozen payroll period are part of the deliverable, not a refinement.
What we measure on an HRIS project
HRIS and payroll integration: your questions
Three steps. First freeze the employee lifecycle: hire, absences, variables, exit, and the identity key that follows them in every tool. Then open API access (often with the firm on Silae) and build an event-driven connector, which respects quotas and never replays a bonus. Finally test on a real payroll period. The difficulty is not calling the API, it is not breaking a payslip.
It depends on the tool, the number of objects (employees, absences, expenses, variables, DSN) and the firm already in place. Pushing Lucca absences into the schedule costs far less than a full chain through to Silae and accounting. Access opening and directory cleanup weigh as much as the code. We scope the perimeter up front and give a firm estimate.
Lucca is an HRIS: employee file, leave, time, expenses. Silae is payroll software, often run by a firm: payslips, DSN, entries. PayFit is a lighter online payroll. They are often combined: Lucca for day-to-day HR, Silae for the calculation. The right scheme is decided on who runs payroll today, not on the most visible brand.
“Lucca integrator” searches split by city, but the work is the same: a connector between Lucca and your tools, delivered remotely, with a test on your data. We work from our offices and over video. The useful proximity is that of your HR team and your payroll firm, not an office on the same street as the vendor.
Yes, and it is often the right complement: payroll journals to Sage or Pennylane, with a balance check. The DSN stays on the payroll side; accounting receives the split, not a PDF file. This flow is scoped with the firm and finance, because the payroll chart of accounts is not the sales one.
