An overhaul of an existing application means modernizing a production application without rewriting it entirely. We replace obsolete modules, update critical dependencies and improve performance and architecture in successive steps. The result: a modern, maintainable application, with no service interruption.
It varies with the state of the code. For a reasonably maintained production application, count a few weeks. For a more degraded project, a few months, with a plan in clear milestones and deliverables at each step.
Rarely. The vast majority of software project rescues are resolved through stabilization, documentation and targeted refactoring. A full rewrite is a costly decision we recommend only when what exists really can't be saved.
We take over all modern stacks (JS/TS, PHP, Python, Ruby, Java, .NET). For more exotic or very aging stacks, we assess upfront before any commitment. Sometimes the best option is a gradual migration to a maintained stack.
