Agency & developers TypeScript
We code in strict TypeScript on every project: React front, NestJS back, Expo mobile. Fewer bugs in production, safer refactors, faster onboarding.
What is TypeScript, and why adopt it?
TypeScript is JavaScript with a static type system. It catches errors at compile time, before they reach your users in production. In strict mode, TypeScript development makes refactoring safe, autocompletion precise and documentation automatic. It's our standard on all custom TypeScript applications since 2024.
Why we develop in TypeScript
Strict mode required
noImplicitAny, strictNullChecks, strictFunctionTypes: we don't negotiate on rigor. The compiler is your first tester.
Shared front/back types
API types defined once, shared between client and server. Zod for runtime validation, TypeScript for static consistency.
Inference & DX
TypeScript infers types wherever it can. Autocompletion is precise, the documentation lives in the code.
Progressive JavaScript migration
TypeScript can be adopted gradually: we migrate one file at a time, without rewriting everything.
What TypeScript changes for your team
Fewer bugs, confident refactors, faster onboarding: the return on investment of TypeScript development is concrete.
Fewer bugs in production
Type errors (undefined, null, wrong type) are caught at compile time. Not in front of your users.
Refactor without fear
Rename a field, change a function signature: TypeScript tells you immediately what breaks.
Faster onboarding
A new developer understands a TypeScript function just by reading it. No need to guess the expected types.
Self-documenting code
Interfaces and types describe the contracts. The technical documentation lives in the code, not in a stale Confluence.

Where we apply TypeScript
We combine TypeScript with
The stack that surrounds TypeScript on our projects.
We start with a technical scoping: choosing the framework (React, Next.js, NestJS), strict TypeScript configuration, designing the shared types. A custom TypeScript application well structured from the start costs less to maintain and to evolve over time.
Yes, gradually. We start by renaming the files to .ts with allowJs, then progressively type the critical parts. No feature freeze, the migration happens alongside development.
For us, yes. Non-strict mode offers little added value. We configure strict from the start: the initial cost is low, the benefit is permanent.
Prisma is built for TypeScript: types generated automatically from your schema. TypeORM works just as well but requires more configuration.
A monorepo with a shared package, or Zod schemas that generate the types. We choose the approach based on your repo structure.
