Vibe Coding
Vibe coding is a development practice where a developer describes the desired outcome in natural language, and an AI agent generates, runs, and fixes the corresponding code largely on its own. The developer mainly steers and validates rather than writing each line by hand.
This approach shifts how time gets spent: less time typing code, more time precisely framing the need and checking the result. It's particularly effective during prototyping or when exploring several technical directions quickly before locking in an architecture, something we use regularly to speed up the early iterations of a project.
The main risk is quietly piling up technical debt: code that appears to work but that nobody has actually reviewed or understood in detail. On a project meant to last, every piece of generated code should go through human review before reaching production, exactly like hand-written code. Vibe coding speeds up the writing, not the responsibility for what ships.
