The challenge: taking over live HR software without blocking clubs

Take over an HR platform already in production without interrupting service. Fix accumulated bugs, enrich user types (HR managers, managers, employees, volunteers…), deliver new HR management software features and offer a mobile experience via an installable PWA on smartphones and tablets.

A three-phase approach: audit, product evolution, PWA

Technical audit and correction of inherited technical debt, then product evolution on roles and HRIS scope, finally deployment of a Progressive Web App for optimized multi-device access.

1. Takeover, technical audit & stabilization

Technical audit of the existing codebase, correction of blocking bugs and technical debt reduction. This takeover / TMA phase secured the HR software before moving on to functional evolution.

2. Product evolution: roles and HR management software

Addition of new user types and roles (HR managers, managers, coaches…), enrichment of staff management, payroll, internal communication and social administration features for the club.

3. Progressive Web App (PWA): a mobile experience for the field

Deployment of an installable Progressive Web App from the browser: responsive interface, optimized mobile and tablet access for managers and coaches who use the HR software away from the office.

Front: Blade, jQuery, Bootstrap 5 and Sass (Laravel Mix / Webpack). Back: PHP 8+ / Laravel 9 with MySQL and Redis. Infra: Docker and GitHub Actions. Tools: Sanctum, Spatie Permission, Mailjet, Handsontable — plus PHPSpreadsheet and DataTables.

Rapid integration on existing code developed by another agency: understanding the business context, technical audit and prioritization of fixes without blocking production.
